Power Breakfast Meals

  • Old-fashioned oatmeal or steel cut oats, top with dried cranberries, raisins, walnuts for a healthy immune system
  • Fruit smoothie: frozen chunks of banana, soy milk, frozen blueberries or strawberries; blend in food processor or blender; just before serving top with nuts or granola

Lunch Fixes

  • Dannon yogurt, topped with granola or cut up CLIF bar
  • Peanut butter sandwich, sliced banana and raisins
  • Any fast food side salad topped with 7-oz foil packed tuna (lemon pepper or hickory smoked flavor), whole grain crackers or bread for a side carbohydrate
  • Grilled chicken sandwich (any restaurant); chocolate milk or skim milk; fruit; sports bar for dessert
  • Subway sandwich, no oil

Before dinner snack ideas:

  • WÄSA Multi-grain Crispbread, Rye Krisp or FinnCrisp crackers
  • Top with low-fat mozzarella cheese, tomato slice, cucumber slices

  • Hummus spread and fresh veggies for dipping
